The recently remodeled and expanded clubhouse will be site for the Lakewood Historical Society’s July meeting, Tuesday, July 21, according to society president Becky Huber. In addition to members of the Lakewood Historical Society, anyone interested in the history of the Tacoma Country and Golf Club is welcome to attend. The meeting will start with a social hour at 6pm with the program starting at 7pm. The social period will feature light hors d’ouvures and a no-host bar. There will be a $10 fee for members and $15 charge for non-members. “History of the Tacoma Country & Golf Club” will be presented in the Club’s living room at 7pm. It will include the DVD produced by Dave McDonald in 2005 and comments on recent improvements by Josh Bridge, Club Manager. A tour of the facility will follow the program, including the new 1894 bar and dining room, new swimming pool and other meeting rooms. The Tacoma Country and Golf Club is located at 13204 Country Club Dr SW near the intersection with Nyanza Drive in Lakewood. |
